The North Polar Motor uses the geomagnetic field as stator. Therefore the torque is twice as high in the polar regions than near the magnetic equator. So it's the perfect drive for the polar christmas fleet.
The commutator is optical and the rotor has a floating bearing. This together with the reduced rotation speed forms one of the most silent motor. Perfect for a noiseless delivery.
