About us

Preis Ingenieurbüro was founded in October 1998 by Karl Heinrich Preis in Bühlertal in the northern Black Forest. Initially with only one employee in one room of the then occupied family home of the Preis family, we moved already after one year with 6 employees into larger premises. Today, Preis Ingenieurbüro has 16 permanent employees and is still located in Bühlertal in a beautiful art nouveau villa. With more than 35 years of experience in the automotive industry of Karl-Heinrich Preis and a young team of hard- and software developers, project managers and specialists for FMEA at his side, we gladly face the challenges of developing precise and reliable electronics and devices every day again, passionately searching for errors and advising our customers in their projects.

2022

After 24 very successful years, the Preis family sells the family business to Schmitz Cargobull AG, with whom joint product development has been pursued for many years.
